As an Intermodal Broker, you will price volume within our street network to reduce unused capacity. This will be a fast-paced position embedded with operations where interacting with network planners will be critical to your success. What you'll do:
· Develop creative solutions to mitigate cost, or create margin, using the STG intermodal street network
· Work with other sales teams to identify and develop solutions
· Create quotes and sales proposals for company services
· Collaborate with the yield management and OTR solutions teams on pricing decisions
· Communicate pricing decisions with the customer
· Ensure and promote operational execution
What you'll have:
· An interest in building a career with a growth-oriented company
· Proven ability to negotiate deals with a high sense of urgency
· Experience in direct sales; experience working in a deadline-driven environment
· Ability to build client relationships quickly to establish and maintain a profitable book of business
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work as part of a team
· Business-minded work style with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
