Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a Payables Specialist II’s objective is to support the Finance department leadership in ensuring financial control management.

This is a mid-level position with increased responsibility in accounts payable functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● GENERAL

• Employ time management in balancing all work duties
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, i.e., attendance, dress code and professionalism
• Demonstrate discipline to follow all active processes to ensure standardization
• Demonstrate accuracy, dependability and consistency with work assignments and expectations
• Ability to perform work safely
• Other job duties as required

● ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGEMENT

• Sorting, opening and scanning mail
• Process invoices and bills
• Maintain vendor relations
• Set up new vendors
• Prepare aging reports

● BANK ACCOUNT/CREDIT CARD MANAGEMENT

• Download transactions
• Enter description of each transaction
• Check each transaction against company policy
• Follow up with employees for missing expense reports
• Monitor accounts
• Record any transfer of funds

● TRAVEL MANAGEMENT

• Track travel for employees
• Research and book flights and hotels for best rates
• Reserve rental cars
• Make changes to flights, hotels and cars

● ADMINISTRATIVE

• Review check requests
• Process checks and money orders
• Create and maintain processes and spreadsheets

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
• 1-3 years accounting experience preferred
• Previous experience with Accounts Payable and invoice processing
