Are you looking for an entry level Administrative role where you can be part of a close-knit administrative team working directly with leadership? We are The Bernstein Companies (TBC), a Real Estate Investment, Ownership, Management & Development organization with diverse projects and asset portfolios. Our multiple business platforms and projects include numerous Historic Office to Multifamily Conversion projects, ground up Hotel Development, leadership in the Federal New Markets Tax Credit Program, and our award-winning development of the Marriott International Headquarters in Bethesda.

located in Georgetown with 40 corporate team members and a collaborative and supportive environment, this is a new role where you can be an integral part of a small administrative team, supporting four executives and assisting other TBC team members as needed.

The Role: As an Administrative Assistant, you'll manage diverse responsibilities, including:

  • Miscellaneous office support including correspondence, administrative & general office projects as needed. Coordination of calendars and document signatures. Provide notary service. (If not currently a notary public, TBC will sponsor your notary certification).
  • Provide back-up for other Administrative team members.
  • Schedule conference rooms & coordinate meetings which may require video conferencing and web participation. Provide requested technology, set up beverage & food service if needed, maintain conference room after each meeting.
  • Understand rates & service offerings through USPS, Fed Ex, & other shipping options and assist office with arranging for these services. Act as back-up for internal mail distribution.
  • Assist in stocking & maintaining copier room & kitchen.
  • Assisting others with basic technology needs such as printer issues, setting up Teams calls, etc. May identify and propose efficiencies in technology usage.
  • Point of contact for vendors for office equipment repair/maintenance.
  • Serving as an office organizer and supporting special projects as required.
  • This is an in-office role with core office hours from 10am to 5pm and flexibility to accommodate traffic, etc.


Requirements:

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • To be at entry level with 6 months -2 years of work experience in an office setting.
  • A team-oriented mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for assisting others and a service-oriented approach.
  • Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in various technology formats including Outlook, Teams, Zoom, calendaring, and conference room video technology.
  • A knack for learning and adapting to new technology formats, including conference room technology.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong numerical competency for tracking and calculating simple data, with basic bookkeeping skills as a plus.
