Baker at Has Beans Coffee & Tea

Has Beans Coffee & Tea in Chico, CA is looking for one baker to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 1078 Humboldt Ave.. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

1. Baking: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, bread, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.

2. Ingredient Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients, including flour, sugar, yeast, and various flavorings, to ensure consistency and quality in final products.

3. Oven Operation: Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking and texture of baked goods.

4. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and presentation, ensuring they meet company standards.

5. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area, always following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

6. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.

7. Creativity and Innovation: Contribute ideas for new recipes, seasonal specials, and creative presentation of baked goods.

8. Customer Service: Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions about ingredients, techniques, and products.

9. Documentation: Keep accurate records of recipes, production quantities, and any relevant information for future reference.

Qualifications

1. Experience: Proven experience as a baker, with expertise in pastry and bread making.

2. Creativity: Ability to innovate and develop new recipes and baked goods.

3. Independence: Capable of working efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.

4. Time Management: Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

5. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and interact with customers.

7. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

8. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays or bags of flour.
