Temporary Accounting Clerk

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a temporary ( 2 month) contract Accounting Clerk for a company located in Roseville, Ca. The Accounting Clerk performs routine and non-routine accounting support duties in areas of accounts receivable and credit and collection. This position has a pay range of 22.00-26.00 an hour DOE and a work schedule of Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:00pm. You must be able to pass a seven year background check as well as an oral drug screen. You will also be required to take some additional administrative testing and give a writing sample. Please submit a resume for consideration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs specialized calculations, posting and accounting functions.
• Prepares and issues credit and debit memos.
• Creates, extends and issues bills and invoices from appropriate sales and shipping documents.
• Codes data for input to financial data processing system.
• Reconciles difficult report discrepancies and problems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3-years’ experience of general accounting or bookkeeping.
Familiarity with standard accounting application software.
Experience with reading, writing, and performing non-routine mathematical/accounting operations.
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
Strong 10-key, typing and PC skills
Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and Outlook
 

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE
