Job Description

Reno Staffing is looking for a Packaging Assistant for a Full Service Meat Processing Establishment in Reno!

This is a full time position at a company serving local ranchers and businesses in your community! Work closely with trained butchers packaging fresh meat. This is a great opportunity for those that are interested in learning more about the industry.

Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $18/hr.
Location: Reno, 89502
Summary:
As a Packaging Assistant you would be part of a small team that would build boxes, wrap freshly cut meat, weigh the product and label them accordingly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.

Must be able to work in cool temperatures. (about 40 degrees)
Package fresh meat
Maintain a clean a sanitary work area
Operate a labeling machine
operate a meat packaging machine
Must be organized and detailed oriented
Build sturdy boxes
Assist in loading and unloading product for customers

At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.

Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Must be able to lift up to 100lbs or more using team lift as needed
Must be able to be productive a cool environment
Must have shoes with a good tread on the bottom
Must be able to handle fresh, raw meat
Must be able to perform manual labor for the entire shift
Must be able to pivot with no issues
You must be able to work in a small environment
No drama will be tolerated
