Job Title: ICT Project Coordinator

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an ICT (Information, Communication, Technology) Project Coordinator. Reporting to the Systems Engineer, this role is focused on ensuring the successful implementation of Division 27 (Telecommunications) and Division 28 (Electronic Safety and Security) systems in new construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction project coordination and a strong understanding of telecommunications and safety systems. After project completion, this position will transition into an ICT specialist/technician role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Coordination:
  • Work closely with Novva’s Design Team, General Contractor, Division 27/28 Subcontractors and other project stakeholders to coordinate the on-site installation and implementation of Telecommunications, Electronic Safety, and Security systems.
  • Verify that contractors adhere to approved designs outlined in the construction documents.
• Contractor Oversight:
  • Monitor and inspect the work of contractors to ensure compliance with approved designs, industry standards, and project specifications.
  • Document and report any deviations or issues to the Systems Engineer and General Contractor for resolution.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of Division 27 and 28 installations.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Engineer to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Enforce Novva ICT/Physical Security Basis of Design standards throughout the project to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational standards.
• Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and vendors involved in Division 27 and 28 installations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Systems Engineer, providing updates on project status, challenges, and successes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of on-site activities, inspections, and any modifications made during the construction phase.
  • Generate reports on the progress of Division 27 and 28 installations for review by the Systems Engineer.
• Post-Construction
  • After project completion, transition into an ICT specialist/technician role.
    
  • Assume responsibilities related to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of information and communication technology (ICT) systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in construction, IT (BICSI) or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in construction project coordination, with a focus on telecommunications and safety systems. 
• Familiarity with construction documents and the ability to interpret approved designs.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
