General Store Supervisor

Job Overview:

The General Store Supervisor oversee the daily activities of the store and deli.

They will serve as a cashier and deli attendant as required, along with other duties such as placing food orders, restock inventory, open & close store.

Duties:

• Supervise general store set up, deli and merchandising of products
• Restock food supplies and coolers
• Transact sales using and adhere to cash handling procedures
• Opening and closing procedures of store
• Maintain a clean and neat, welcoming retail shopping environment
• Provide effective training to staff in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, inventory control and visual merchandising displays
• Supervise in compliance with established company policies and procedures
• Maintain neat and orderly storage areas
• Order and maintain inventory for deli and grocery items, assist in ordering retail and souvenir items with Resort Retail Manager.
• Assists management in end of the year inventory count.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous retail and grocery store work experience
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive, friendly manner
• Passion for outdoor industry products, food and customer service
• Motivated to deliver superior service by exceeding customer expectations
• Ability to stand on feet for long hours, and work in changing temperature environments
• CA Food Handler Certification
• Flexible to be scheduled in support of high traffic retail hours (weekends/holidays)
