Description:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership, Business Development, Operations, Federal Business Unit Leaders, Federal Account Teams, and Delivery Teams to execute the position’s responsibilities. The candidate will lead the formulation of strategic growth including business development strategies, document account or opportunity plans, and execute opportunities within government agencies. The successful candidate will have established industry and Government relationships.

  • Work closely with the President to create data-driven growth strategies that meet both long-term and short-term goals by analyzing key metrics (ROIs, conversion rates, internal feedback, etc.) and industry trends.
  • Lead opportunity strategic planning and positioning, teaming interactions and coordination with full support from a corporate infrastructure that includes capture support, proposal development, and technical subject matter expertise covering a broad range of portfolio capabilities.
  • Manage, lead and be hands-on (tactical) for opportunities pipeline, inclusive of the following activities: business development, customer network, opportunity identification, qualification, gate reviews, capture, proposal support, teaming, and client management.
  • Execute Opportunity Strategy and Business Development activities, including market assessment, opportunity identification, qualification, and maturation, to assist MSM in determining pursuit decisions.
  • Lead throughout the market and competitive assessment, qualification, capture, and proposal processes to include all aspects of developing the company’s win strategy.
  • Create, update, and execute strategic Account Plans to proactively target and grow revenue within assigned Accounts.
  • Identify strategies and implement tactics to create new contracts while owning capture activities within assigned accounts/opportunities.
  • As a senior-level position, this individual must manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities in various stages of maturity.
  • Promote the complete portfolio of services from MSM’s capabilities to the target client base. MSM’s portfolio areas include: Digital Transformation, Infrastructure Automation, Cloud Transformation, Engineering, Integration & Mission Solutions, IT Modernization, CyberSecurity, AI/ML, Data Sciences, Software Integration, and Managed IT Services.
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses, data mining, and predictive modeling to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within Federal IT Government contracting data.
  • Market analysis and strategic business planning, including identification, qualification, and marketing aspects of a complete capture that will lead to the award of prime programs.
  • Experience with various contract types, including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting, are required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of related and recent federal business development experience is required.
  • A demonstrated sustained ability and reputation of winning complex, IT Modernization contract awards with values over $25M that meets and exceeds challenging goals and quotas is required.
  • Evidence of trusted partnerships with Government stakeholders is required.
  • Strong Analytical skills and an eye for detail are a must.
  • Ability to manage fast turn mid-size deals & also experienced capturing $50M+ deals.
  • Ability to identify and qualify select opportunities and initiate call plans 18-24 months ahead to shape outcomes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques, forecasting and forecasting methods, with an understanding of their strategic, financial and operational implications.
  • The successful candidate will be able to reference a portfolio of submittals and awards that include experience in all contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus) and a full array of capture strategies (re-competes, incumbent capture, sole source, directed, etc.).Extensive experience building and working within high-performing teams in a matrix-management environment.
  • Candidates must have highly effective interpersonal skills to interact daily with technical leaders and business executives within MSM, with customers, teammates, and subcontractors.
  • A significant and proven working experience in an intense, fast-paced, and target oriented business environment is necessary.
  • Impeccable ethics and partnership-focus;
  • Ability to create and manage teams and targeted solutions to successfully implement/ execute projects.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
