Controller / Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Work Locations

• One fulltime position at our Manassas, VA facility. This is an in-office position that offers remote telecommuting opportunities.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company and its affiliated companies.
• Create and maintain financial controls and procedures for the accounting system and functions.
• Coordination and optimization of international currency transactions for payments to parent company.
• Manage Payroll in a regular and timely manner.
• Manage Benefits Programs in a regular and timely manner.
• Manage most or all of the Inside Sales and Accounting staff in a dynamic environment.
• Maintain price lists including margin analysis.
• Manage legal services for the company including real estate holdings and transactions associated with other companies in the Deister family.
• Review and maintain contractual compliance for NDAs, Resellers Supply Agreements, and all other contracts
• Maintain personnel records including employee contracts
• Manage the Order Entry process and assist in order fulfillment.
• Plan and maintain inventory. Order product from deister GmbH to optimize the delicate balance between sales and inventory turns.
• Coordinate forecasts from large Customers and Internal Sales Force
• Maintain, Document and Accelerate information flow between Deister USA and deister GmbH logistics personnel..
• Exhibit Tolerance for Ambiguity
• Manage third party accounting firm(s).
• Supervise and develop administrative staff for functional redundancy.
• Maintain the accounting and administration of all other North American corporate entities.

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• MUST have advanced proficiency working with and creating Excel Pivot Tables
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Desktop
• Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet multiple competing deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication
