Department: Steel and Structural Services Division

Job Summary: Under general direction of the VP of Steel and Structural Services, the Project Manager leads a team of field welders and a project team in delivering top notch results for various telecom and general construction projects. The Project Manager functions as a business partner leading the planning, execution, and tracking of Steel and Structural construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include defining project scopes, developing comprehensive work plans, and managing resources to ensure successful outcomes. Further responsibilities include creating and monitoring project schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining open communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of milestones.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with various members of company leadership to define project scopes and monitor progress.
• Direct supervision of a project coordinator, construction manager, and multiple crews of welders of varying knowledge skills, and abilities.
• Crafting comprehensive work plans that outline project activities and sequences.
• Estimating structural steel bids by calculating direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, and profit margins.
• Strategically allocating resources including time, budget, and equipment for project success
• Developing and managing project schedules in alignment with organizational objectives
• Conducting regular reviews and adjustments to ensure project progress remains on track.
• Establish clear communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of project milestones.
• Monitoring project quality and adherence to standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Managing project funds meticulously, adhering to established accounting protocols.
• Ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables within budget and to the highest quality standards
• Conducting thorough evaluations of project outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in project management and construction.
• 5+ years’ experience in high level leadership.
• Telecom experience is highly desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to transport items up to 15 pounds.

The ability to operate a computer and various office equipment with regular dexterity.
