Dishwasher

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to kitchen, cleansed, sanitized and properly stored. Performs a variety of duties in and around the kitchen. Reports to: Food Service Director.

1. Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and meal times.
2. Prepare dish room/area.
3. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
4. Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
5. Break down kitchen for clean up.
6. Perform sanitation clean up of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empties trash.
7. Complete general cleanup of dish room, kitchen and dining areas.
8. Make resident satisfaction the number one priority.
9. Serves residents in dining room(s), as needed.
10. Cooperate to get work done.
11. Flexible with daily schedule.
12. Follow standards for time and attendance.
13. Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.
14. Per State of California regulations, as a “mandated reporter” you must report all known or suspected incidents of resident abuse of dependent adults or elders.
15. Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
16. Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
17. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards
18. Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
19. Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
20. Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the Food Service Director
