Sr. IT Support Specialist

What is my role?

Proactively implement their experience in SQL queries procedures and report writing based on the business need to improve the flow of information. Provide technical support for desktop systems and troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Offer support, guidance, and training to end-users so they can effectively utilize desktop systems and applications to both Windows and MacOS operating systems users.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive desktop support services to end-users, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of desktop systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Assist with creating and modifying reporting tools utilizing crystal reports and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing (especially label printers) and network issues promptly and effectively, resolving technical problems to minimize downtime.
• Implement and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutions, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Administer VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere to optimize performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for desktop support and related technologies.
• Awareness of and ability to discuss cyber security practices with end users.
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize desktop systems and applications.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and end-users.
• Certifications such as Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus but not required.
