Psychologist-Corrections-Stockton, CA

Currently, we are recruiting Psychologists for long-term contracts at correctional facilities in the Stockton area. If you are a new grad or an experienced psychologist, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates to determine mental health status, risk factors, and treatment needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and anger management.

• Collaborate with other members of the correctional facility staff, including correctional officers, medical professionals, and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for inmates.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss inmate cases and coordinate care.

• Provide consultation to correctional staff regarding inmates' mental health concerns and behavioral management strategies.

• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of all psychological services provided to inmates.

• Stay informed about current research and best practices in correctional psychology to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care services.
