Knuckle Boom Truck Driver

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Site Services Group has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Knuckle Boom/Grapple Operator. This position entails loading and unloading construction debris. Knuckle-boom experience preferred but may be willing to train the right candidate. This position requires a Class A or B CDL and work experience in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Maintains current Class A or B CDL and medical certificate at all times and provides office with current copy for files

Picks up construction debris from residential building sites using a rear or cab mounted loader boom

Loads and unloads trucks in a fast-paced, crowded environment while adhering to safety standards

Is able to work long hours, overtime, and occasional weekends, in various weather conditions

Abides by all DOT requirements and guidelines, including speed limits and weight loads, and operates vehicle in a safe manner at all times

Ensures vehicle is in good working order by performing DOT checklist/walk-around and promptly reports any mechanical problems to supervisor

Keeps assigned truck clean and uncluttered

Meets productivity standards: reports to work as scheduled and completes work in a timely manner

Fills out daily paperwork completely and accurately and works independently

Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times

Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Able to work long hours, in all weather conditions

Hold Valid driver's license, Class A or B CDL is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hand and foot controls. The employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, and cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Candidate MUST Pass Drug Screen and Background Check

Candidate must also promptly submit to random drug or alcohol screening as requested, per DOT regulations
