POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Supervisor, Training & Development to join our high-performance team and be a part of our journey to shape the future of the Northern Virginia area data center community by delivering resilient and sustainable solutions that make a difference. 

This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee training and development programs within the organization. This role will involve designing, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives to ensure that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for employee development, and a thorough understanding of training methodologies. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Design and develop training programs, courses, and materials tailored to the specific needs of different departments and job roles. Utilize a variety of training methods, such as presentations, role-playing, cases studies, and hands-on exercises, to engage employees and enhance learning effectiveness. 
  • TRAINING ADMINISTRATION: Observe employee performance and progress following training interventions to assess the impact on job performance and to identify further development needs. 
  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization. 

KEY TEAM JOB TASKS

  • Develop structure and tracking mechanisms of all inventories at all stages.
  • ISO Certifications
  • OSHA processes 
  • Monitor training budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effective use of all resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training activities, including attendance, completion, and evaluation data. 
  • Coordinate logistics for training events, such as scheduling venues, arranging catering, and managing training materials and equipment. 
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to identify career development opportunities and succession planning initiatives.  
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and priorities.
  • Set up Training Center to house all ESI and manufacturers’ trainings and manuals.
  • Incorporate learning principles and instructional design best practices into training content. 
  • Ensure that training sessions are scheduled and conducted efficiently to minimize disruption to daily operations.
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, such as presentations, role-playing, case studies, and hands on exercises, to engage employees and enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Documentation of production equipment, service activities, and quality control activities. 
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate employees on various topics, including safety procedures, technical skills, customer service, and compliance regulations.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Servant Leadership in developing and building a high-performance service team.
  • Working experience with mechanical, controls, electrical systems, SCRs, testing, environmental compliance and technical writing ability. 

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 + years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven ability of technical writing and hands-on expertise (electrical, mechanical, and piping).
  • Understanding of a commercial entity’s corporate structure and mission. 
  • Experience in training teams using various and proven methods.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
