On-Demand Courier Dispatcher

Our dispatchers work with independent contractor drivers with a high level of immediacy and complexity due to the need for strict adherence to detailed regulations and protocols. They are characterized by their speed, adaptability, technological acuity and customer-centric approach. Their skills and responsibilities include: 

• Immediacy: Our on-demand courier dispatchers focus on immediate needs. It's about quickly connecting a job with the right courier who can deliver the package as soon as possible. Other types of dispatching might operate on schedules or predefined routes, which does not align with our urgent delivery requirements.
• Flexibility: Our on-demand courier dispatching services offer flexibility in terms of pickup and delivery times. We accommodate last-minute requests or changes more readily compared to other types of scheduling, which might have fixed routes and timelines.
• Scalability: Our on-demand courier dispatching system is designed to handle fluctuating demand efficiently. We can quickly scale up or down based on the volume of requests, utilizing a large network of couriers who are available on short notice. Others types of dispatching might not have the same agility in responding to sudden spikes in demand.
  
• Technology Integration: Our on-demand courier dispatching relies heavily on technology platforms and mobile apps. This high level of technology integration enhances transparency and efficiency on scale, which might not be as prominent in other types of dispatching.
  
• Service Level Agreements (SLAs): We offer different levels of service including options like same-day delivery, next-day delivery, or even within-the-hour delivery. Other types of scheduling might have fixed delivery schedules without as much variation in service levels.

In summary, we require a heightened focus on regulatory compliance, specialized training, temperature control, chain of custody management,  and courier communication compared to other types of dispatching or scheduling. These additional considerations are essential to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials while maintaining material integrity and meeting regulatory requirements. 

One year experience DISPATCHING ON CALL COURIER WORK is required. Knowledge of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area as well as Baltimore, Richmond, and South Central Pennsylvania are required.  You must be able to read a map and evaluate routes. 

This position will train M-F 0900 - 1800.  The duration of the training period depends on the employee.  The regular shift will be SUNDAY - THURSDAY with hours as early as 7:00am and as late as 7:00pm. We operate 24/7/365.  This position requires significant flexibility in scheduling.  This position is on-site daily to support our 24/7/365  operations.
