Resource Efficiency Manager

We are seeking a Resource Efficiency Manager to assist Arlington National Cemetary in achieving a robust energy management program. This is an exciting opportunity to support the present and future operations of our nation's most sacred shrine and the final resting place for our most revered military and civilian leaders.
You'll join an employee-owned engineering firm specializing in facility energy efficiency. With clientele worldwide and Resource Managers at over 30 U.S. Department of Defense locations around the continental U.S. and Europe, their established niche provides opportunities to grow and work in the field far beyond success or completion in this contract. As the Resource Efficiency Manager, you'll develop and assist with the implementing actions/projects in support of facility maintenance, repair, and new construction activities, including providing design review comments, project and program management support, identification of energy savings projects, construction coordination and oversight, and other support activities to ensure that energy efficiency and water conservation measures are incorporated into all actions.
Using your excellent communication skills, you'll write information papers, reports, presentations, and other documentation to summarize and share information with various audiences. You'll help plan and host energy and water awareness events, such as Earth Day and Energy Action Month, and assist with the development and conducting of periodic energy training.
The successful Resource Efficiency Manager has at least nine years of experience providing subject matter expertise on all aspects of an energy project's total life cycle and in-depth engineering support and a four-year technical/engineering degree. With additional years of experience, other degrees and applicants without degrees will be considered. You must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain clearance to acquire a Common Access Card for access to government property and IT systems.
Candidates with a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation will be prioritized. If you are willing to obtain the cert within 12 months of hire, we encourage you to apply.
Additional requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of energy audits, energy program development, load profile data presentation and manipulation
- Experience providing technical resources and management of energy-related services
- Working knowledge of various energy estimating software packages, as well as documenting and monitoring maintenance procedures using software
- Working knowledge in the use of bin, heating degree days, and other simplified methods of energy calculations
- Familiarity with Executive Orders, ESPC, DSM, utility privatization, and other legislations/regulations related to energy programs
- Understanding of the ESPC program including Measurement and Verification protocols
- Proficiency in using MS Office suite for analysis of energy tracking data and development of presentations and proposals
