Utility Worker- Dishwasher, Receiver, Prep Cook

We are seeking a Utility/Stocker to join our dedicated kitchen staff! working inside a secure government location in Falls Church VA

Great Schedule! Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

HOLIDAY'S OFF

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND CHECK!!

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION!

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include Receiving and stocking all items, washing, and maintaining the cleanliness of the floors, equipment, trash removal, and miscellaneous cleaning activities, as well as some basic food prep.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
1)Reports to work on scheduled days at scheduled time.
2)Dresses in the locker room into assigned uniform. Adheres to dress code.
3)Punches clock in full uniform, No earlier than 6 minutes before the scheduled shift.
4)Receives all delivered items and checks them for correct dates and temperatures.
5)Unpacks and stocks items using FIFO system.
6)Practices safe lifting.
7)Utilizes the weight belts provided by Market Basket.
8)Properly washes, rinses & sanitizes – china, glass & silverware.
9)Properly stores clean china, glass & silverware in designated storage areas.
10)Sweeps and mops floors.
11)Removes trash and refuse, and cleans trashcans.
12)Maintains the cleanliness of all the department work areas and equipment.
13)Assists in food preparation.
14)Receives stock and stores stock in designated storage areas, labeling& dating.
15)Maintains chemicals at proper levels
16)Adhere to Market Basket policy and procedures; safety & sanitation.
17)Maintains kitchen janitor closet.
18)Controls breakage of equipment
19)Deep cleans equipment according to schedule or as needed.
20)Reports maintenance deficiency.
21)Performs additional duties both inter and intradepartmental.
22)Assist Cooks with food delivery from the main kitchen and basic food preparation
23)Assist Executive Chef with food deliveries for the main kitchen
STATUS & SCOPE: Describe the reporting relationships, special skills, and abilities required to perform essential job functions.
This position requires knowledge of floor care, trash, dish machine, and miscellaneous cleaning activities within a kitchen environment. This position reports directly to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires at least 6 months of experience in utility work within a hotel, restaurant, or food service environment. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions. Must be able to work with industrial cleaning supplies and work with minimal supervision.
