Utility- Dishwasher, Stocker, Food Preparation

Market Basket at The Defense Health Agency Headquarters is hiring for a Utility/Stocker and Food Prep Person to join our team!

Monday-Friday shifts, 7am-3:30pm with a 30 minute break. No nights, weekends or holidays!

Responsibilities include:

Reporting to work on schedule days at scheduled time

Dresses into assigned uniform

Adheres to dress code

Punches clock in full uniform, no earlier than 5 minutes before scheduled shift

Assists in receiving and stocking of all delivered items and checks them for correct dates and temperatures

Unpacks and stocks items using FIFO system

Practices safe lifting

Assists in food preparation

Removes trash and boxes and cleans trashcans

Properly washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes and pans and properly stores dishes and pans in designated storage areas

Controls breakage of equipment

Sweep, mop and maintain the cleanliness of the floors, equipment, and other miscellaneous cleaning activities

Maintains chemicals at proper levels, and maintains kitchen chemical closet

Adhere to Market Basket policy and procedures, and guidelines for safety and sanitation

Receive and Put away deliveries

Assist in basic food preparation

Complete other duties as assigned

This position requires knowledge of floor care, trash, dish machine operation, and miscellaneous cleaning activities within a kitchen environment. This position reports directly to management.

This position requires at least 6 months of experience in utility work within a hotel, restaurant, or food service environment. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions. Must be able to work with industrial cleaning supplies and work with minimal supervision
