Early Childhood Education Aide

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher for our Before & After School Program. The ideal candidate will prepare children aged between 4 and 6 years old for school, fostering their early social and emotional skills in a stimulating and enjoyable environment through crafts, mindfulness, and play. The role requires a deep love for and patience with children, as well as the ability to effectively teach the program curriculum and engage students to build trust and attention. The ultimate aim is to contribute to the healthy and emotional development of each child, facilitating their smooth transition to the next level of education.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Engage children in creative and educational experiences, including crafts, yoga, and structured play.
Build strong relationships with students and families.
Assess and track students' progress and developmental milestones.
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support the overall goals of the program.

Job Location:

If hired, you would be placed at McGravy Elementary, 4350 Sophistry Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742.

Desired Qualifications:

1+ years of previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
12 units of early childhood education.
High school degree.

Fun, energetic, and creative individuals.
Must have your own reliable transportation (car necessary).

Additional Information:

Compensation: Starting teaching rates range from $19 to $20 per hour.
Availability: Full-Time, must be able to commit from the current 2024 school year: April to June 28th. 30-35 hours a week.

Preferred Candidate Availability:
Approximately 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
