BSI is looking for energetic Referral Coordinator to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices. Excellent patient care is our number one priority with a team approach to service. The right candidate is polished, friendly, professional, motivated, a team player, emotionally and professionally mature. BSI has an opportunity on our Santa Clara Office.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive patient inquires via phone or email. Must be able to handle and resolve patient complaints in a professional manner
• Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety
• Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information
• Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and referral needs. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to specialist.
  
• Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
• Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
• Remind patients of scheduled appointments via e-mail or phone.
• Perform related tasks and assignments as necessary

 REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1-2 year experience in medical billing/collections referral
• Willingness to learn. 
• Working knowledge of billing software (Nextech software experience a plus)
• Ability to work as an Integral part of a team
• Quick and accurate keyboarding skills
• Calm professional manner; self-motivated
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel) is required
