The HR Generalist/Manager is responsible for:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This team member will play a critical role in managing our company's most valuable asset - our people. You will be responsible for overseeing all human resources operations and ensuring they're aligned with our business goals. Your duties will involve managing activities such as job design, payroll administration, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, as well as training & development.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Process bi-weekly payroll timely and accurately by working with other department heads to review timecards and bonuses.
- Maintain vacation, sick, and other PTO time tracking under company policies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Assists in operations staffing by recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new hires.
- Auditing and helping maintain employee insurance.
- Helping organize and manage corporate office and events.
- Completing assignments and projects according to instructions from supervisors.
- Ensure all properties and team members have necessary supplies.
- Assist in new property onboarding.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of human resources experience. Related education or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Including professional HR certificates.
- Knowledge and understanding of wage & hour laws, Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and COBRA compliance.
- Employment relations experience including conducting investigations and resolution development required.
- Payroll experience is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pace environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to arrive on time.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Bonus: 5% to 15% of annual compensation paid quarterly, based on individual and company performance
