OVERVIEW
Vacation Rental Assistance (VRA) seeks a part to full time office administrator and bookkeeper. Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred, however, what’s most important is hiring the right person with similar values to ours and the right work drive. We will train comprehensively, and are willing to develop less experienced, eager individuals, or work with more experienced professionals.

ABOUT YOU
You are organized by nature, wanting order and attention to detail in everything you do. You enjoy dotting i’s and crossing t’s and keeping things tidy and organized. You can sit at a desk / computer and do repetitive, detail-oriented tasks to meet recurring deadlines, and prefer working at a steady pace. You are friendly and able to interact with team members, clients, vendors, etc, as needed, but are okay working on individual tasks for longer periods of time. You value some time flexibility and working for a team which supports you and your personal and professional goals. You're eager to put your current skills to use while aiming to expand upon them.
JOB DUTIES
Learn then oversee variety of routine bookkeeping and office administration duties, including:
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll,
- Reviewing expenses and preparing monthly client statements
- Account reconciliations
- Budgeting – collaborating with leadership to prepare budgets, and help maintain them
- File management - expense records / receipts, statement, payroll, etc.
- Insurance renewals, certificate of insurance management, audits, payroll
- Processing mail, unemployment claims, and other HR facilitation
- Purchasing
REQUIREMENTS
- Bookkeeping experience and / or education
- Office administration / management experience
- Carry a professional demeanor that reflects the mission of VRA
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to professionally and clearly communicate through reports, phone conversations and face-to-face interactions with our people (clients, vendors, etc.)
- Exceptional time management and organization
- Perform work duties in a safe manner
