Human Resource/Contract Administrator Job Description

Position Summary: Human Resource/Contract Administrator for WC Maloney, a specialty contractor based in Stockton, CA, performing all phases of demolition and environmental remediation throughout California. This dual role is a vital part of our team who is adept at bringing together the HR and contract administrative pieces to our business. This position will support both WC Maloney and its sister company Professional Asbestos and Lead Services. The unique nature of the work we perform means our projects are constantly evolving, so you must enjoy a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Key Skills & requirements
- Administer pre-hire (prescreening and interviewing), onboarding, and new hire orientation activities
- Maintain and update Employee Handbook and compliance posters
- Administer and track training requirements for new hires and current employees
- Assist with Leave of absences, worker’s comp and unemployment claims
- Maintain I-9 documentation
- Maintain employee files
- Performance Management & employee engagement processes
- Track and document written warnings and termination paperwork
- Coordinate the creation and signing of contracts
- Track and update Master Service Agreements (MSA) with clients and subcontractors
- Perform initial redlining of contracts based on previous comments and company standards
- Coordinate all internal reviews for incoming contracts including Project Manager, President (or his designate) or others as needed
- Coordinate, document, and participate in various meetings
- General office duties as assigned by Executive Team
- Perform other projects/duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Familiar with HIPAA and handling of confidential information
- 1-3 years of HR and construction experience preferred
Basic level of knowledge in:
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.), Adobe/PDF Editor, DocuSign
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Union processes
- Strong communication capabilities
- Strong attention to detail, organized and able to multi-task
- Self motivated, responsive and demonstrated problem solving skills
- Must be able to adhere to deadlines and manage time
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel between office locations for Onboarding efforts
