Financial Analyst, Payroll

SK pharmteco, Small Molecule, U.S., (SKPT SMUS) is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, Drug Substances) and registered intermediates for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Our U.S. integrated facilities specialize in process development, scale-up, and cGMP compliant production from kilograms to multi-ton quantities.

The Financial Analyst, Payroll, will coordinate and participate in the design, testing, implementation and review of complex manual and automated payroll, financial and accounting systems and processes. Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to situations. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

• Reviews complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting principles.
• Reviews the internal controls and security of all automated accounting applications to ensure conformity with auditing standards.
• Gathers and compiles information on processes, organizational structure, computer technology, policies, and procedures.
• Analyzes and reviews proposals for any system related to financial accounting methods, policies, and procedures; recommends improvements.
• Analyzes system design alternatives and identifies potential improvements to existing systems and processes.
• Collaborates with appropriate staff to gather input and feedback concerning system needs.
• Resolves issues and problems related to system platforms.
• Maintains or assists with maintenance of accounting information systems.
• Reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors.
• Overseeing payroll procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax regulations.
• Performs other duties assigned.
• Assist with multiple month-end JEs including all Payroll Related, Worker’s Comp, Flexible Spending, Medical Healthcare accounts, MRO entries.
• Performs AR invoicing as a backup, assists at close with Stability invoices.

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or 3-6 years of related experience and a master's degree or equivalent experience..

EXPERIENCE

• 1+ directly related financial/cost accounting experience.
• Knowledge of ADP, Excel and Oracle preferred

This position is a hybrid position. Three days are required to be in the office.
