Job Description
Speridian Technologies is currently recruiting for a Business Solutions Analyst for our State of CA client. This person will be part of a state of the art, extremely vast, IT modernization project with a variety of cross-functional teams.

This is a remote role, however there will be meetings in the Sacramento area several times a year. The ideal candidate would be based within a 2-3-hours' drive or fly time from the Sacramento, CA area. US candidates only. 

The Business Solutions Analyst will be part of the OKR Planning Team Product Owners to research and validate business needs and use cases to promote a clear understanding of what will be necessary to achieve OKR.
The ideal candidate will be hands on with the discovery, OKR development and articulation of business needs to a development team.

Responsibilities:
The Business Solutions Analyst will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; conduct business process reengineering; conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses; perform as a liaison between internal and external customers; consult with customers to identify, refine and specify functional requirements, and translate functional requirements into technical specifications; develop overall functional and systems requirements and specifications; prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions.

Specific Role Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate discovery for requirement gathering, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
• Document business requirements accurately and comprehensively in a manner that is easily understandable by both the development teams and business stakeholders.
• Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with evolving business needs.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand their vision, priorities, and expectations.
• Work independently, yet effectively, with general direction from OKR Planning Team members.
• Assist in drafting and refining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring they are measurable, achievable, and aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes both through articulating product requirements, as well as outside the product in order to support process innovation that supports achievement of business OKRs.

Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects.
  • At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in business systems analysis and design.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of OKRs and experience drafting them.
  • Demonstrate skill sets that speak to facilitating of requirement gathering, documentation and tracking towards business objectives.
  • Experience working with Product Owners, being a Product Owner or leading development teams during analysis of business requirements.
  • Demonstrate/communicate an ability to work independently and with general direction from PO/PM.

Education:
This role requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
