Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a management consulting firm based in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Technical Assistance (TA) Lead to support the Perkins Innovation and Modernization (PIM) Grant Program for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. The purpose of the PIM Grant Program is to identify, support, and rigorously evaluate evidence-based and innovative strategies and activities to improve and modernize career and technical education (CTE) and ensure workforce skills taught in CTE programs funded under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins V), align with labor market needs.

Candidates will join a dynamic team of consultants working together to deliver best-in-class services while expanding our portfolio of clients and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and/or implementing Perkins V programs (secondary and/or postsecondary), including demonstrated expertise in career advising and navigation, work-based learning, industry-sought credentials, and dual or concurrent enrollment. The ideal candidate will also bring extensive experience in designing and delivering TA to local education agencies, postsecondary institutions, and state education agencies.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

•Serve as a project and task leader, working with subject matter experts, project staff, and the client to establish and enact a vision.
•Work effectively with subject matter experts to translate their expertise and navigate their availability into the development of high-quality products and services for a range of audiences
•Independently and proactively identify problems, and areas for continuous improvement, and to successfully resolve issues or put new processes in place to make those improvements.
•Coordinate teams and manage work from vision to final execution.
•Oversee the development of technical assistance resources such as papers, reports, manuals, online tutorials, webinars, and resource guides.
•Ensure a high quality of work through strong attention to detail.
•Be comfortable in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment with a proven ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

•Must have substantive knowledge of Perkins V and career pathways initiatives.
•Must be proficient in designing and delivering high-quality, high-impact TA to a range of stakeholders, especially rural communities.
•Must be knowledgeable about the projects and activities of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education.
•Must be highly proficient in MS Office suite and willing to learn new technologies.
•Must have experience in developing proposals, either for federal, state, or foundation.
