About the job:

The Lawn & Landscaping Crew Leader provides quality service in a safe and efficient manner, by effectively managing and leading the performance of a 1-4 person crew.

Essential job functions:

• Report at designated start time to review the schedule / route

• Operate commercial lawn maintenance equipment including mowers and handheld

  equipment

• Perform services including:

  • Mowing
  • Spring and fall clean ups
  • Shrub trimming and pruning
  • Soil prep and flower installation • Shrub and tree installation
  • Bed edging and mulching

• Load and unload equipment onto trucks and trailers

• Maintain clean trucks and equipment

• Perform general equipment maintenance

• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

• Assign work to crew members

• Train and develop crew members

• Assure all crew members are using equipment safely and efficiently

• Assure crew members are adhering to uniform dress code

• Organize and manage the delivery of work in a manner to achieve budgeted hours for each function, without compromising quality or safety standards

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record 
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Carry 20 pound backpack blower on your back
• Walk for long periods of time
• Stand, bend, and squat for 10 hours or more per day
• Able to work overtime and some weekends
• Able to comprehend and utilize company’s mobile time entry software • Able to represent the company in a professional manner
