Food and Beverage Server Summer 2024

Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, greeting guests, and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. As a server, you may work in the Creekside Lodge, North Fork Bistro, or Locals mid-mountain restaurant. Food and Beverage is a team-oriented department focused on providing our guests with excellent customer service and a pleasurable dining experience.

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Greet and help customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment

Job Qualifications

• Ability to possess “California Food Handlers Card” and RBS Certificate
• Must be well groomed and present a good public image.
• Responsible use and care of all kitchen and food service equipment.
• Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Good physical condition as this position may require shoveling, lifting and carrying.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Requires the skills of a host. This involves approaching guests in a courteous manner, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.

Weather conditions and the number of guests play a significant role in the work scheduling of employees.

When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work 6 days a week.

You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time.

At any time during the season, Dodge Ridge employees must often perform their tasks in variable weather conditions; high winds, rain, snow, and extremely warm temperatures.

Work is typically inside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members. During summer operations it can be noisy, cold, hot, dry, or humid. You may be expected to work in warm places and often you will work around hot and cold objects. At times you may be asked to work the grill, as a line server, or a server for an extended time period.

A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. It is expected that a name tag and uniform are worn during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you may be required to provide some items as part of your job. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
