Job Description

The Supreme Court of Nevada Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking capable and qualified candidates for the role of the Administrative Office of the Courts Web Architect and Engagement Specialist.

As a Web Architect and Engagement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the public’s understanding and engagement with the Nevada Judiciary. You will be responsible for developing innovative digital strategies to enhance public outreach and create high-value content. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and an understanding of digital communications.

The AOC strives to be an influential and respected voice for the Nevada Judiciary. This role will be responsible for outreach to engage and educate the public regarding the purposes and responsibilities of the courts. This role will also oversee various accountability efforts aimed at collecting and evaluating community feedback to gauge public sentiment and constituent needs.


Examples of Duties

You will aid the Nevada Supreme Court in providing better services for citizens by developing and implementing outreach initiatives and accountability measures related to the following aspects of the Nevada Judiciary 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.

  • Implement and iterate a sustainable outreach plan to engage and educate the public regarding the purposes and responsibilities of the courts. These efforts will include the development of websites and social media materials and will require collaboration with other organizations.
  • Establishing community feedback channels to gauge public sentiment and needs.
  • Coordinating the creation of website and social media publications and high-production value documents reports and multimedia.
  • Develop website and digital messaging in coordination with court professionals, executive leadership, and industry partners.

After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

Occasional travel and in-person attendance at events and meetings are expected.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Exceptional Creative Writing and Oral Communication Skills: You have a flair for storytelling and can articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Independent Time Management: You effectively manage your time and can thrive in a highly autonomous setting, making smart decisions quickly and confidently.
  • Computer Literacy: You have a solid foundation in computer skills and are proficient with common office software, allowing you to navigate digital tasks with ease.
  • Community Relations: You have a background in, or are willing to develop the skills to engage with various communities, learning about their dynamics, and listening carefully to build lasting relationships.
  • Project Management: You possess strong organizational skills and can oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Continuous learner: you enjoy learning new things, testing novel approaches, and developing new skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience in digital content creation/media production or web development.
  • Proficiency in Common Office software and web technologies.

Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee’s household.
