Job Description:

We are excited to be announcing the opening of Mustang River Grill, a fun new restaurant and bar located 20 minutes west of downtown Flagstaff, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day culinary operations for our pastry selections
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients
• Assist in the development of menu items
• Standardize recipes and plate presentations
• Execute bread doughs, pizza dough, meat pies, specialty kolaches, house pretzels, and a variety of additional bakery items.
• Work with the Executive Chef to create a dessert menu and dessert specials
• Prepare a variety of high-quality goods such as cakes, cookies, donuts, pies, etc. 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields, specifically pastry
• Knowledge of cost and labor systems 
• Passion for food and cooking techniques
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of bread baking
