Location Details: This role is hybrid with up to 2 days on-site per month in Washington, D.C.
Evans is hiring an Acquisition Analyst resource to join a growing team in one of their contracts in the Washington DC area. You will perform functions that support acquisition strategy and management of the Federal government acquisition lifecycle related to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven success in developing acquisition artifacts and materials that facilitate in investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of federal acquisition to formulate acquisition strategy and manage the acquisition lifecycle.
- Conduct research, evaluations, and analysis that assists in providing recommendations to executive leaders and stakeholders.
- Partner with technical experts to develop solutions to program planning requirements.
- Support stakeholder and executive engagement related to acquisition data and insights.
- Lead development of acquisition artifacts/documents (e.g., program requirements, business case, implementation strategy) in collaboration with program managers and technical experts
- Develop executive briefings and written communications products to enable acquisition decisions.
- Administer acquisition-related activities with stakeholders, including meeting planning and facilitation, action tracking, and related communications.
- Collect, organize, and synthesize program objectives and related data.
- Conduct comparative and trend analyses that assist in developing projections and recommendations.
- At least 10 years of hands-on professional experience, preferably in an acquisition analyst context.
- A BA/BS is required, preferably in Business or Public Administration, Finance, or Project Management. A Masters’ degree in a related field (e.g., MS, MA, MBA) counts for three years additional experience.
- Experience with federal acquisition regulations and related processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with abilities to communicate with executive level audiences.
- Experience with federal acquisition regulations systems such as Acquisition Management System (AMS) and/or Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related processes.
- Experience drafting, editing, and coordinating documents with various stakeholders.
- Experience conducting market research to assess potential targets and support business decisions.
- Ability to work independently or cross-functionally with various teams.
- Ability to translate technical communications into plain language for public consumption.
- Strategic and critical thinking abilities to properly analyze business opportunities and challenges.
- Prior FAA or federal government contract experience is a plus.
