POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the maintenance of corporate facilities and other tasks as needed. The Maintenance Technician I reports to the Facilities Manager.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic office equipment
- Ability to make minor repairs to equipment and facilities with independent judgment
- Ability to travel daily to multiple sites
- Valid California driver's license, proof of insurance, and personal transportation
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Adhere to Maintenance Technicians I Daily Schedule
- Take weekly inventory of office and janitorial supplies
- Open and close clinic as needed
- Clean site parking lots daily
- Report water leakages and repairs needed for sprinkler system
- Replace light bulbs as needed
- Replenish bathroom supplies as needed daily
- Replenish all paper dispensers as needed daily
- Miscellaneous errands, deliveries and pick-ups as assigned
- Clean glass doors and windows
- Power wash entry ways
- Pick-up and dispose trash
- Paint exterior walls
- Conduct exterior inspections and report outages to Facilities Manager
- Replenish water dispenser bottles as needed
- General maintenance of sites or other areas as assigned
- Travel to multiple sites daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Knowledge of basic office equipment
- Knowledge of building maintenance concepts
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
- Ability to travel to various sites
- Skill in manual and finger dexterity
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and vendors
- Ability to communicate clearly
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged walking or standing, stooping, squatting, stretching, climbing of ladders. Requires eye-hand coordination in utilizing equipment and tools. Frequent lifting and carrying materials up to 65 pounds. Fine manual dexterity necessary to repair or replace fine components. Ability to work under high stress conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
On-site work area environment. Frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Occasional evening or weekend work.
