Picker Packer

Large distribution center seeks 100 Picker/Packer Associates to scan inventory, pick and pack orders, and perform other warehouse tasks. You will work at their Manteca facility.
These are full-time, temp-to-hire positions. You will earn $20.50 - $20.50 an hour, to start. Plus, upon hire, you will be eligible for a fabulous company benefits package.
Essential Job Functions:
Picking (75%)
- Identify product for shipment by reviewing customer orders (pick tickets)
- Locate items to be shipped using radio frequency (RFID) scanners
- Pull, sort, and stage items from warehouse inventory in preparation for shipping in timely manner
Packing (25%)
- Select appropriate shipping container for orders based on size of item
- Pack items in boxes/envelopes, utilizing appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during shipment
- Inspect product condition prior to packaging to ensure quality and report deficiencies to manager
- Securely seal shipping containers and transport to staging areas for shipment
- Continually seek opportunities to improve efficiency of work practices in keeping with a continuous improvement mindset, and provide suggestions to manager
To be considered, you must:
- Have at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 6am-2:30pm
