Trades Worker

General Summary
The Trades Worker will assist others workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning working area, machine, and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman. Changing filters, and assisting in performing PM work on HVAC equipment. The worker is permitted to perform specialized machine operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis.
Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
- Occasional exposure to elements such as head, cold, noise, dust dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where like result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
- Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to maintain NAC/LAC clearance after being hired.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- GED or High School Graduate
- Experience working in an outdoor or indoor maintenance environment
- Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen
