This location is in the rural area in unorganized Maine township in Somerset County: T8R17 2 ½ hours north of Jackman Maine. 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. Wage offered 44,040.00 annually.

Job Duties: Record information on tubing systems and perform pre- and post-harvest inspections of crops of trees to ensure health of trees and suitability for harvesting; Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during before, during and after harvesting activities; Perform all activities related to harvesting maple sap, to include clearing brush, installing and maintaining tubing systems, tapping trees and removing, cleaning and storing equipment at the end of each season; Have knowledge of, and experience using boiling and evaporation systems to transform maple sap to maple syrup; Repair and maintain boiling systems, farm vehicles, and tubing system equipment; Update and inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress; Maintain lodging and grounds; Store, maintain and package maple syrup for sale; and Maintain and order supplies and inventory as required. High school diploma required and must have 12 months experience in maple syrup farm laborer experience or a closely related field.
