Description
The Housekeeper Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, including the laundry, to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained. This position will provide supervision of guest rooms and public areas, and direction for all housekeeping activities including scheduling, staffing, room inspections, training, and development of employees.
Responsibilities
•Make sure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs as needed
•Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
•Adhere to the department budget, oversee inventory, and order cleaning supplies
•Keep a record of areas cleaned by room attendants and make a note of any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests
•Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
•Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent (GED)
•3+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping director, or other similar position
•At least 2+ years experience in hospitality or guest services
•The ideal applicant is an experienced leader who demonstrates great attention to detail and customer service skills
•Well-versed in environmental services (EVS) including sanitation protocol and procedures, and how to use cleaning supplies and equipment
