The Role

BlastOne is looking for a Engineering Manager for our Engineered Products to join our growing team!

The Engineering Manager – Engineered Products coordinates the Product Engineers to ensure products  are designed on-time, on budget, and delivered with quality drawings, specifications and accurate bills of material. 

• Coordinate and plan engineering resource assignments to fulfill the needs of active products and project support. 
• Oversee the engineering process to ensure proper workflow for cost effective and quality engineering deliverables. 
• Act as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of our core solutions including, equipment design, industrial HVAC systems, dust collection, material handling, FEA/CFD, etc.
• Develop a deep understanding and expertise in BlastOne equipment and solutions. 
• Actively mentor and develop engineering staff and implement training and develop plans for individuals and the team as a whole for accepted best practice and beyond.
• Be the steward of BlastOne product engineering standards to ensure quality design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials. 
• Support Production issues with fast resolve to keep things moving.
• Interact with Purchasing to support supplier development and understand capability
• A positive, “can-do” attitude at work each day.
• This position is hands-on and on -site in our Columbus, OH office.
• Travel estimated at ~10% to suppliers or customers supporting product(s).

Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in the design and execution or product design for market 
• 10+ years of experience in designing industrial equipment 
• Understanding of industrial ventilation systems and control 
• Experience with installation, startup and commissioning of industrial projects 
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Is a Team Player and excels in communication, both written and verbal

Travel

• Up to 10% travel to customer sites in North America
