Salary: $20-$50/hour (DOE and Licensure)

Restoration Recovery Center is a small business based in Auburn and Colfax, California. We are nimble and autonomous. Established in May 2017, Restoration Recovery Center is a product of the desire of a group of experienced clinicians who wish to help in the recovery of drug addicts and alcoholics. While there are other services offered for the rehabilitation of these individuals, we feel that we can give more. We are a small-intimate center located in the Foothills of the Sierra Nevadas offering Detox, Residential, PHP, and IOP treatment options. Our culture is built on a collegial team of experienced and qualified clinicians and staff who are passionate to help others become better version of themselves. This culture is instrumental in assisting others achieve long-term sobriety by offering treatment options that heal the mind, body, and spirit.

Therapist
The Therapist is responsible for assessing and monitoring client behavior while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency. In collaboration with the Clinical Director and Program Director, the Therapist is responsible for documenting client behavior, group participation and counseling; caring for clients, and coordinating treatment and discharge planning. Therapist will also be providing crisis management, counseling, group therapies and education for the clients and family/significant others in a therapeutic milieu setting.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides assessments and participates in the treatment planning with clients and their families/significant others.
  • Interviews clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information.
  • Observes clients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
  • Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by resident reactions/needs.

1. Review client chart for completion of all paperwork with appropriate signatures. Complete any paperwork and get any missing signatures from client. Follow the chart table of contents and check off all documents currently in the client chart.

2. Bio/Psych/Social Assessment and Treatment plan created WITH the client. After completion both documents will be signed and dated by the client and the therapist.

3. Check for completion of client orientation by intake staff by making sure the Receipt of Client Handbook is filed in the client’s chart. If receipt is missing, review entire Client Handbook with the client and make sure client has a clear understanding of the rules, policies, and schedule. Client should also understand the communication hierarchy and where to go with their various issues/concerns.

4. Contact family immediately and set up a schedule of communication for the remainder of treatment. Family should be informed that the therapist will call in the next week or so after meeting the client.

5. Therapists and Case managers must work in conjunction for the development of treatment plans, upkeep of charts, assuring documentation is current with both group and individual notes. Chart reviews will be conducted weekly by the COO / Clinical Director as needed.

6. Plans and administers therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors. Completes and maintains individual and group counseling notes and documentation within 24 hours following the treatment session excluding weekends and holidays.

7. Develops and implements appropriate discharge planning with resident, family, and placing agency.

8.Develops and maintains positive relationship with external customers, families and clients and employees.

  • Assists Program Director in the coordination of services to clients.
  • Assist and facilitate discharge planning and community outreach.
  • Initiates, facilitates and promotes on-site activities, therapeutic support and educational groups, outings and community meetings and documents on these in the client’s chart.
  • Provides education for clients and significant others.
  • Respond to emergencies and initiates action as required.
  • Records significant events involving client’s activities in the daily record.
  • Responds to client complaints.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and training.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

§ Master’s Level Therapist: LPCA, LMFT, ALCSW, MFTi, LPC, LPCC, AMFT, ASW

§ Experience with education of chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse.

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds.

§ Current CPR and First Aid Certification
