About the Role:

  • Engage and expand state election protection coalitions.
  • Support legislative advocacy by creating public education materials and drafting testimonies.
  • Monitor the implementation of new voting laws.

  • Recruit, train, and deploy field volunteers.
  • Convene state-focused Election Protection coalition tables.
  • Facilitate coalition meetings and ensure goals are met.
  • Navigate relationships with national, state, and local coalition partners.
  • Support the national Election Protection coalition.
  • Attend meetings and respond to coalition member inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure programmatic success.

Minimum Requirements and Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of democracy-related campaign experience, preferably in Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Ohio.
  • Must reside in Kentucky, Wisconsin, or Ohio, and be committed to travel to these states' communities.
  • Deep commitment to racial justice and civil rights.
  • Strong problem-solving and coalition-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, writing, and editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience managing volunteers preferred.
  • Familiarity with community organizing and technology infrastructure is a plus.
