Opportunity Details:
Join our manufacturing group as an assembly technician where you will be working on our entire product line. You will play a pivotal role in putting complex systems together from raw material to finished product. You’ll be exposed to many disciplines from mechanical assembly, electromechanical assembly, electronics, software, soldering and wiring, schematic layouts, assembly blueprints, and more. At the end of the work day, you’ll walk away with a sense of pride of the problems you solved and the systems you helped build.
Micromanipulator will consider training on these items for the right candidate:
1. Preferred Skills:
a. Be familiar with and able to correctly use a variety of electromechanical assembly tools. This set of tools include, but are not limited to, wrenches, torque wrenches, allen wrenches, dial indicators, wire crimpers, wire strippers, soldering irons, solder rework tools, and inspection microscopes.
b. Ability and willingness to correctly follow supervisor directions and / or complex assembly instructions and test procedures.
c. Ability to read and correctly interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
d. Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems for defects.
e. Ability to work independently, stay engaged and stay focused on assignments with minimal supervision.
f. Good self-organization and workplace organization skills.
g. Good communication skills to verbally report status and complete product tracking paperwork.
h. The ability to work with other assemblers, technicians and engineers as a team cooperatively and report obstacles and concerns to supervisor and / or manager.
2. Preferred Work Experience:
a. 1-3+ year’s experience performing mechanical assembly from assembly drawings and MPIs
b. 1-3+ year’s experience performing electrical or electro/mechanical assembly builds such as wiring harnesses and circuit boards.
c. Experience working with computers and software.
3. Education:
a. Minimum: completion of High School Diploma.
b. Completion of a hands-on technician certificate or 2-year technology degree preferred.
