Estimator | Sacramento, CA | $125-175k + Bonus Opportunity

Primarily In Office, may require local travel to job sites on occasion, no overnight.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for performing accurate estimates, coordinating bid reviews, maintaining client relationships, and mentoring others in the civil construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform estimates for civil construction projects, focusing on rough grading, finish grading, and wet and dry utilities in the greater Sacramento area.
Utilize HCSS HeavyBid software to perform estimates for an average of 3-5 proposals per month.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather material and sub-quotes.
Lead bid reviews to guarantee accurate and competitive bids.
Work closely with the Business Development Manager for post-bid follow-up on private sector projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with private sector clients, fostering lasting partnerships.
Share your expertise and mentor others in the estimating field, contributing to a strong team dynamic.

Key Qualifications:

Prior experience estimating or project managing public and private civil construction projects.
Understanding of job cost forecasting and CPM scheduling methodology
Clean driving record and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Sac area
Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, AgTek, BlueBeam, Viewpoint Vista, and/or PlanSwift softwares a plus
