POSITION SUMMARY

Meals on Wheels America is seeking a Data Management and Implementation Associate to support the implementation and upkeep of changes to our data infrastructure that enable business intelligence for strategic decision making for funding, advocacy, digital marketing, and Member engagement. This is an incredible opportunity to gain experience in supporting & implementing cloud data services, databases, data transformations, system integrations, and data analysis and have impact on the wellbeing of America's homebound seniors.

Reporting to the Manager, Data Systems & Implementation, the Data Management Associate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and processes creation of a variety of new platforms that support the Association's infrastructure and will be the primary subject matter expert of what and how information systems should be used at the Association, ensuring data integrity and credibility for decision making.

The position is an Arlington, VA based, flexible hybrid working role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the implementation of new software/systems deemed critical to achievement of the Association's goals.
• Support the migration of information/data to new software/systems deemed critical to the achievement of the Association's goals.
• Support the creation and maintenance of a Data Lake, leveraging services in the AWS ecosystem to build a single source of data for Business Intelligence.
• Work with internal stakeholders to create SOPs on the best practice for the use of our existing and newly implemented data tools and systems.
• Work alongside the rest of the data team to identify, and address issues with the use, integration, and implementation of our systems.
• Export, transform, and import large datasets at planned cadences that enable Members' and Supporters' personalized journeys with Meals on Wheels America
• Maintain external data sources and reference tables to ensure reports are utilizing the most current data available (US Zip Code database, Census data, etc.)
• Assist with custom query building and ad-hoc list pulls.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager, Data Systems & Implementation

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED

• 1 or more year(s) related work experience working in the management and implementation of data focused systems.
• Experience using SQL querying, AWS, Advanced Microsoft Excel, and Business Intelligence tools required.
• Prior experience with any of the following systems preferred; NetForum Enterprise, Every Action, AWS API Gateway, AWS Data Warehousing/SQL Server, AWS Glue, AWS S3, Tableau & Tableau Prep.
• Experience working within a structured project management environment, in any style, preferred. Prior use of JIRA preferred.
• Proven ability to learn/adopt new software packages and systems quickly.
