Scope of Work:
Capio Group is looking for an experienced Release and Environment Management Specialist to work within the team with detailed knowledge and experience of Release Management processes, DevOPS, Build and deployment of code and extract, transform, load (ETL) scripts and pipelines to varied environments, Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server Operating systems and C#.Net n-tier application development, Azure DevOPS administration, Git concepts, supporting apps and building infrastructure to create apps in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment and performing configuration and code deployment.

The Release and Environment Management Specialist (Contractor) will report to the Release and Environment Management Manager or designee, and may be assigned to one or more projects, initiatives, production support, and environment activities during the total service period.

Contractor shall perform the following tasks including but not limited to:

1. Release and Environment Management Activities,

  • Perform analysis on troubleshooting and production changes to determine system and performance impact.
  • Review and approve build and deployment requests submitted as part of releases.
  • Provision and configure Internet Information Services (IIS) websites in test and production environments.
  • Perform build and deployments and configuration of C#.Net code to test and production environments.
  • Perform build and deployments of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud development to test and production environments.
  • Perform build and deployments of Data analytics Extract-Transform-Load scripts and pipelines to test and production environments.
  • Perform build and deployments of Business Intelligence dashboards (e.g., MS Power BI) to test and production.
  • Use tools (e.g., Postman) to troubleshoot distributed application environments.
  • Create PowerShell scripts to automate common tasks.
  • Participate in quality assurance of technical specifications, test documentation, and code.
2. Team Foundation Server (TFS) Administrator Activities,
  • Create and manage new branches related to releases.
  • Administer source code branching/merging.
  • Create builds of Client's custom web applications in TFS.
  • Deploy code to test and production environments.
  • Administer and monitor permissions and security access for TFS.
3. General Activities
  • Participate as required, in the development and review of deliverable documents to comply with the Client's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodologies.
  • Ensure that all critical issues are communicated to the Program/Project Manager or designee for resolution in a timely manner.
  • Report status to Program/Project Manager.
  • Coordinate, prepare for and conduct meetings as needed.
  • Provide support to the Client's AWS environment.
  • Manage licenses and provide technical support for the Third-party apps (Active PDF, Select PDF, EntireX)
  • Manage security certificates for all the web applications.
  • Transfer of knowledge to appropriate employees is required, along with any requested materials and content for transfer of knowledge.
Mandatory Experience:
  1. Within the last 10 years, must have at least three (3) years of experience Administering Azure DevOPS, for source code branching, creating builds, deploying code and managing security access.
  2. Within the last 10 years, must have at least three (3) years of experience troubleshooting and providing production support.
  3. Within the last 10 years, must have at least three (3) years of experience provisioning, configuring and supporting IIS websites.
  4. Within the last 10 years, must have at least three (3) years of experience in SDLC and Project Management Methodologies.
  5. Within the last 10 years, must have at least three (3) years of experience using Microsoft's Team Foundation Server (TFS) Administrator deploy code to test and production environments.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Knowledge of building, deploying and managing applications in Azure Cloud/AWS.
  2. Ability to mentor development staff to work effectively with established design patterns leveraging shared services, a robust library of base classes, and available utilities.
  3. Ability to create and perform quality assurance reviews of technical specifications, functional requirements, design models, test plans, user documentation, or other SDLC artifacts as needed.
  4. Ability to perform build and deployments and configuration of C#.Net code, Data analytics Extract-Transform-Load scripts and pipelines, and Business Intelligence dashboards (e.g., MS Power BI)
  5. Experience utilizing tools (e.g., Postman) to troubleshoot distributed application environments and creating PowerShell scripts to automate common tasks.
  6. Experience managing licenses and providing technical support for the Third-party apps (Active PDF, Select PDF, EntireX) and managing security certificates for web applications.
  7. The proposed project person will be able to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on-site 2-3 days per week at Client's Headquarters, West Sacramento, CA.
