Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager

Project Manager/Project Engineer:

WGK Construction is an established and rapidly growing company, run by two Principal Engineers with lengthy backgrounds in the Water/Wastewater industry. WGK is based in Northern Virginia, and our projects span across the Virginia region. We are searching for a Project Manager/Project Engineer based out of the Northern Virginia office to handle water/wastewater projects in the Virginia Region that span from $2M-$8M.

Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years related experience in project management/engineering, strong preference for water/wastewater projects, as either a lead or assistant
• Strong communication skills, highly organized, and capable of working in a diverse environment handling multiple tasks
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred
• Prior experience with a general contractor handling estimating and scheduling experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordination and management of day-to-day operations, maintenance, administrative duties, and client communications for Water/Wastewater construction projects that run from 2months - 2+ years in duration
• Facilitate multiple, concurrent small and large project delivery and execution (including managing sub-consultants) on time, on budget, and with the expected level of quality
• Work closely with Owners on job tracking and profitability
• Work will be primarily at the office (VA or NC depending on your location) You may be required to travel to multiple job sites for meetings with the Owner/Operators (job expenses will be fully reimbursed) but travel is NOT a regular function of this position.
