What you’ll be doing:
- Functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the Graduate Periodontology clinic to provide patient-focused customer service and clerical support
- Responsible for checking in patients, coordinating/gathering all documentation related to the patient chart, scheduling appointments with patients, coordinating clinic and resident schedules, and training residents on office policies and procedures
- Serving as a liaison between the clinic and the patient financial services office, the division lead in the coordination and implementation of the electronic health records system
- Provides a variety of clerical support services in collaboration with other members of the patient-focused care team
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft Office to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex is required
- Experience in office practices and procedures, receptionist, or front desk (within a dental or medical practice is preferred)
- At least six months of experience in a customer service setting is required and with patient interaction a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practices and procedures
