Industrial Textile Sewer Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently recruiting for a large manufacturer in search of an Industrial Textile Sewer who will work on the customer production line.  The Industrial Textile Sewer will prepare, fabricate, and assemble different fabric materials and components using various types of machines and tools including cutting devices, scissors, sewing machines, knives, and surge machines.  The ideal Industrial Textile Sewer has experience running different types of sewing machines, understands sewing machines and has excellent eye and hand coordination.  The Industrial Textile Sewer position is a full-time, temp to hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Industrial Textile Sewer Job Responsibilities:

• Operate Multiple Types of Sewing Machines at Different Speeds 

• Follow Verbal & Written Directions as Well as Keep Records of Products Sewn

• Read & Understand Measuring Devices, Job Work Orders & Adjust to Specific Patterns & Materials of Products Being Sewn 

• Keep All Product & Parts Including Paperwork Together 

• Follow Patterns to Minimize Scraps & Maximize Productivity 

• Work in a Team Environment & in Multiple Departments as Needed

• Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements

Industrial Textile Sewer Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 

• Previous Experience With Heavy Textiles Required 

• Previous Experience With Industrial Sewing & Standard Machines & Adapting to Various Machines Quickly

• Must be Able to Move & Manage Bolts of Materials Comfortably & Safely

• Must be Able to Recognize a Problem & Find a Solution 

• Must Have Excellent Dexterity to Move Hands Quickly, Grasp, Manipulate, & Assemble Projects 

• Must Have Steady Arms, Hands & Excellent Wrist-Finger Speed for Fast & Repetitive Movement 

• Demonstrates Excellent Communication & Ask The Correct Questions to Master a Task
