ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - Lebanese Taverna

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee areas of the restaurant as assigned by the General Manager.

• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.

• Responsible for financial invoices and reporting and administrative duties as assigned by the General Manager.

• Assists GM with enforcing sanitary regulations.

• Estimates food needs, places orders with distributors and schedules the delivery of fresh food and supplies.

• Helps to estimate food and beverage costs and works with corporate staff to have efficient provisioning in ordering supplies.

• Maintains professional restaurant image.

• Insures positive guest service and helps GM with store complaints.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous restaurant experience including cash handling is a plus. 

• Previous experience supervising. 

• Must be able to pass required TSA background check and drug test.

• Be physically able to work an 8-10 hour day and work standing up for sustained periods of up to 4-6 hours. 

• Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs multiple times if necessary.

• Availability early mornings, weekends and holidays.

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED. An associates or bachelors degree is a plus.
