About the Job

The Maintenance Technician at Connected plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of all Connected facilities and locations. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repair and maintenance duties at all cultivation and operations facilities, retail locations, and headquarters as needed. This individual will also respond to time sensitive requests, emergency requests, provide equipment breakdown assistance, and perform ad hoc duties as needed. The ideal candidate has experience in general labor, construction, HVAC, plumbing, and building maintenance. This role requires regular travel between Connected's locations in: Sacramento, Merced, Stockton, San Francisco, and Phoenix. This is a full time, hourly position.
What You Will Do

Support routine cultivation facility maintenance and repair schedule at all sites:
•Daily leak checks on all HVAC units
•Assist with HVAC system troubleshooting and repairs
•Refrigerant Recovering/Charging
•HVAC/Dehumidifier system filter changes
•HVAC coil cleaning
•Routine tightening of electrical/hose connections

Perform general maintenance, upkeep, and repair tasks such as:
•Equipment Breakdown Assistance
•Facility Infrastructure Repairs
•Plumbing Troubleshooting and Repairs
•Welding/Soldering/Brazing/Fabricating
•Compliance - Security Additions/Repairs/Safety
•Parts Ordering/Pickup
•Building/Moving of General Admin Infrastructure
•Project Assistance

Additional and ad hoc duties as needed, as well as emergency help and repair support.

What We Are Looking For
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years' experience in maintenance, facilities, or field with related skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions from supervisors
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Communicates proficiently
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • General repairs/maintenance work
    • Basic appliance and HVAC repair (replacing/repairing equipment, installing parts)
    • Plumbing and electrical
    • Welding/Brazing/Soldering experience is a plus

Valid CA drivers license
Compensation

The starting hourly pay range for this position in the selected city is: $25.00 - $30.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

  • Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance
  • Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend and reach for the duration of shift
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
  • Requires normal hearing range
